Okay, so "Lions over all" is my new favorite villain song from the show. Though I wish it was a LITTLE longer so that she could actually make up an argument to contradict Kion's protests rather than just repeat the refrain.
Also, if I were Kion, I would go like; "Uhm... Yeah. Duh, I KNOW lions rules the land, my Dad's King of Pride Rock, remember?"
The song should have contained some selfish scheme-in-progress for Kion to oppose. "Lion's over all, no animal is more grand. Lions over all, that's why we rule the land!"
When Kion in duet go like; "If we do as you suggest, we'd be evil and cruel".
... Why? She just said lions rules the land... She was arrogant, but... Evil and cruel? Nah, she just went Captain Obvious on our bum. Nothing evil about it. Had been more effective if that mouse she picked up was thrown to Nuka, who tried to catch and eat it but ultimately failed or something.
---------------------------------------------------------
Also, no way Kion could pin Nuka to the ground. At least, not without him being able to get up without help, he's like... Thirty kilos above his weight class. (Probably more). Same goes for other adult lions he knocks down. Also, rather than the cub owning Nuka when the latter charges, if it instead had went like this;
Nuka: Harmless?! Ha, ha, you won't pin me down this time!
Kion stumbles backward, startled.
Zira: Nuka, stop!
Nuka: (Frizes within an inch from Kion, his paw raised to strike) But Mother!
Zira: I said no! At least not yet. I have another plan in store for him... (Evil smirk)
What plan? Use him to have Simba pay the Pride Lands as ransom or something? Who knows, but in any case, it's now when Kion realize the rest of the Guard has shown up. And Zira makes a tactical retreat when the big, non-anger-management-issued TLG version of Hulk approach her, sinisterly promising that they haven't seen the last of them.
Couldn't Kion have carried with him the "no roar against lions" concept around until next time they met or something?
-------------------------
Also, somebody else who agree - though that ship has long since sailed - it'd be cool if Kion, so confident the roar would save the day, tries to roar and it doesn't work, and Zira goes like; "Do you know nothing, Kion? True, with the Roar of the Elders, you will be the fiercest animal in the Pride Lands. The Roar is a tool to protect the Pride Lands. But the great Kings of the Past did not rule over the Outlands, Kion. Sure, were we just over the boundaries of the Outlands, to where many Kings has gone to while chasing off intruders from their kingdom. But you - you have strayed too far from the path, Kion. They cannot help you here. You're all alone -"
And then the Guard shows up and chase them off.
