New episode 'Lions of the outlands'?

I know those weren't Janga's clan I also knew Zira wouldn't be psychotic and bloodthirsty but I expected her to be a threat on the level of Makku she wasn't. Zira was no more a threat than Janga was in CWTBQ or even the premiere. She wasn't a unique villain she was just another enemy the guard trounced with no effort. I understand toning her down and the outsiders as well but many of the villains of the week were way more dangerous than Zira. Make her less vicious, less dark and bloodthirsty but make her a formidable enemy she wasn't, she was nowhere near it and there was no reason for that to be the case.

Ever since I found out that The Lion Guard was set within Lion King 2 I have liked the idea of Kion And Vitani as a couple. Largely because I liked the idea of Kopa And Vitani before Kion existed. I also think that their (Kion And Vitani's) personalities match well.[/quote]
Same here. And while I wouldn't be upset if Kion and Fuli were paired together, I'd prefer them not to be. We need more opposite-sex friendships that don't turn into romance. Kion and Fuli see each other all the time and work really well with each other, and I'd love for something like that to remain platonic for once.

Anywho, like everyone else here, I'm hype as heck for this episode!

I liked the episode. Zira seemed in character but I do understand how a preschool age audience hinders intense violence, threats, or moral dilemmas. I think the writers provided a satisfying story but some of the action and character antics (resembling a child playing with their animal action figures) may not please everyone. Props to the Disney team for acknowledging the Lion King 2 for as much as they did. Yes, I am trying to avoid spoilers :)

I really enjoyed this episode!! I was just so overjoyed to see these characters again, I was pretty much a fangirl the whole time. There weren't any moments in this episode that I was rolling my eyes at, like I was at Kiara's character in return of the roar. Everything felt true enough to the sequel that I can easily see them fitting together in the same timeline without having to do mental gymnastics to justify it.

There were some things that felt out of place to me like Kovu's voice and (SPOILERS) Kion not knowing about the outlander lions. It seems like Simba would've informed the lion guard of the prideland's biggest threat. It's not a plot hole or anything, so I can live with it, even if it's a creative decision that I wouldn't have made. Also, poor Kovu! I'm gonna give my plushie a big hug after that, he needs it.

This epsiode was one huge dissapointment. It's so awful that I don't even know what to begin with.

-Kion throwing away all adult lions like some papers... BULLSHIT!
-Toothless Zira with her toothless minions. BULLSHIT!
-Idiotic Nuka...
- Meaningless plot.
One huge peice of .... :-x

Preschollers are idiots then? You cannot show them anything other than completely bad (but not violent) cgaracters and completely good? If we show them some gray moral then they immideately start to question moral values?! I don't get it! I just DON"T!

It seems you're upset Aelwen. I've seen all episodes of the Lion Guard thus far. Those episodes are what I thought of when forming my expectations for Lions of the Outlands. Did it match up? Yes. Are preschoolers dumb? No. Have you enjoyed the Lion Guard up until now? It seems you have not (Maybe you have). I observe, I write my thoughts here, that's it. I do not think preschoolers are idiots. The Lion Guard is fun Avengers heroics in the Pride Lands, good vs evil pew pew. That's all I meant to say.

I can't enjoy the show that is done for dim-wits.
I don't understand why in TLK it was possible to show death, fights and some serious drama although it was done with rating PG and small children are not scared by it. The SP contained some slightly scary (with a hint of scary) scenes and it was okay to show to small children. But in TLG- NO! Kids can't see violence except stupid growling and head-kicks. Where is logic?
