New episode 'Lions of the outlands'?
Disney put the episode up early on their website, and unlike usual, they don't require a subscription. Anybody can watch it for free.

This was the big one... but it didn't really feel like it. Guess, after a decade, it was never going to live up to expectations. Kovu's voice doesn't really fit his young self, and Zira never felt as threatening as I thought she should be. It was nice seeing Nuka and Vitani again, but Vitani barely got to say anything. Not really sure what else to say. That's preschool animation for you. But I still think, in the end, it's better for Disney to do something with these characters rather than let them languish in obscurity. It's not perfect, but it's a heck of a lot better than nothing.
Well, the acting was spotty at times and it was toned down a bit but overall I liked it.

Spoiler alert.
-Kovu is now Zira's son
-Jasiri's clan, her sister and the little hyena pups were cute.
-The song was pretty decent
-It's obvious that Kovu wants to see Kiara again.
-One of the outland lionesses talked.
Overall one of the better episodes.

I actually originally put this in my earlier comment but decided to wait until actual reviews started to be posted. I have no idea how to spoiler tag something so I'll refrain from posting spoilers though I will say one thing what Lionvenger said first in their spoiler tags is not a retcon SP said the same thing. If there was ever an episode that showed the weaknesses of this being a preschool show it's this one. The idea of this episode would've actually made a pretty good all around LK sequel as it raised some potentially good story ideas.

Zira in this episode could've been a truly great villain but the preschool nature of the show left her toothless. The dilemma she presented could've been good but wasn't explored. Kion's story everything in this episode if fleshed out would've made a good LK movie. Unfortunately the episode has to avoid any morally gray situations to insure little kids don't get bad morals. The whole episode just feels like a waste, Zira was not the enemy she should've been. It's nice seeing these characters again but if that's the best they plan to use them then I don't want Zira in this show.

Sorry but there was just too much they could've done with that episode, there were stuff I liked for example I liked the song I also actually liked Zira but once again the preschool nature of the show held her back in all forms and as long as this is a preschool show it will never be able to actually explore any of the stories it sets up.

The link only works for Americans. Tried Hospot Shield and a us proxy, didn't work, so I'll have to wait to see it until tomorrow. :nukawut:

I'm not sure what people were expecting. My expectations weren't high, so I'm not disappointed much. Nuka seemed out of character sometimes, along with some other minor flaws, but I expected as much. I enjoyed the episode, overall, but it definitely could have been better—if it weren't a preschool show, which it is. All in all, good episode, and I was glad to see more good hyenas, and the hesitation in Kovu to be confrontational.

I was expecting Zira to be more of a threat than Janga I mean Makku is dangerous and can pose a threat to the guard why can't Zira? I wasn't expecting a lot just something on the depth or character level of Never roar again which I also reviewed. I just wanted an episode that didn't turn Zira into another villain of the week the guard trounces without any effort, at least give me a fight like the one against Makku in Never Roar Again. Jana's random new hyenas were more dangerous they managed to outwit the guard and be a threat why on Earth couldn't Zira?

My expectations were that they would tone her down. So I wasn't disappointed when they did.

Also the new Hyenas were of Jasiri's clan, not Janja's.
