episode 5: eye of the beholder

I was really pleased with the episode because of how Rafiki was referred to as an ctual healer, I am SO pleased with this, they never showed him as healing anyone in either of the movies, and I will tell you I have read Deep Fan fiction on Rafiki theory history in my time years and years ago, and it was called The chronicles of the Pridelands, more like a novel really, but REALLY good story, and in the story they deeply put how the Mandril were spiritual healers of the lion king world. SO im VERY pleased they kept this so true to Rafiki as a shaman. I was just so historically excited when they showed this

Maybe there were some female members, and Rafiki just really like painting manes on lions. Maybe he's the Oprah Winfrey of manes. "You get a mane, you get a mane, everybody gets a mane!"
