I think gothprincesskiara is just stating what we have come to expect from TLG, which is misshapen canon and continuity. She just worded it rather poorly.
I'm happy for fans of Simba's Pride that they're finally getting the episode of their dreams, but I do hope you all aren't let down with what you receive. TLG will
really have to scrape together a strong storyline in order for these things to work in harmony, and although it's been fairly acceptable with its storylines so far, I'm not entirely sure if they'll be able to pull this off with the assurance that this is indeed canon. I think it'll still be a little bit flimsy, because they've put themselves in such an awkward situation with this show.
I actually hope Zira does
not make a return simply because her essence will be completely toned down for the sake of the target audience. All dislike for the sequel aside, Zira had the bones of a great villain. I don't think they'll be able to show that off here without having to add some sort of lightheartedness, which could ruin it all, i.e some stupid Bunga joke.
I would love an explanation for where the hell these lionesses were during the first movie and what relationship they had with Zira and Scar himself. It's always bugged me.
