Wow! I love the artwork in this book...very beautiful! Reminds me of the old LK books from my childhood.I personally feel the art shown here is better than what I've seen of the series thus far. Especially loving that cave painting with Scar! Thank you for sharing; I can't wait to see more!

You know, looking at that cave painting... I'm really hoping we'll see a flashback in the movie now. In fact, I'll be surprised if we don't, since it ties in with that part perfectly.

Absolutely! I'm trying not to get my hopes too high but the possibility of a flashback is what has me most excited (and worried)! In fact, I have to wonder about that cave painting...is it depicting the battle at Pride Rock between Scar and Simba...or is that Mufasa...? Looks more like Mufasa to me. Scar and Mufasa facing off? But.."I wouldn't dream of challenging you..." Nonetheless. A longtime personal theory of mine has been that Scar got his scar from Mufasa... "temper, temper..." so now I'm really curious about that painting. I still have a problem with the whole "Scar used his powers for evil to destroy his guard" storyline and how he could have gotten away with that.... bah, too many questions and plotholes to worry about right now. I'm just gonna enjoy the pretty artwork!
