What if....

Ok so I couldn't sleep last night and I had a random thought. What if Zira was one of Scar's guard? Just a bit of a fun theory really.

That could explain her presence and maybe even why she wasn't in the first movie, though didn't the creators say Scar killed his Lion Guard I mean it's possible one of them survived and Zira being a part of it could explain their relationship but I would think if Zira was in it the creators would probably mention it since from what I recall Zira is pretty popular, I could be wrong.

Well, Kovu is very popular as well, and we haven't heard if he's going to be in it yet. While I don't think any creator would talk about it, it's a really cool theory and one I could see a lot of fans adopting.

I had a similar thought myself, before more information was revealed. It is a very cool and thought provoking theory. I also think there has to be more of a reason for The Lion Guard being set within Lion King 2 than them just wanting to have Kiara be a cub.

I don't thing any SP character -besides Kiara- will make a reappereance. so no what-ifs if you ask me.

It's just a fun fan theory . Doesn't mean I want it to be true. If it does turn out to be true then awesome! If not then I'm not fussed . It's just a bit of fun and one for people to explore should they wish.

I expect that to hold true for the first season of The Lion Guard. However it would not be impossible for Zira, Nuka, Vitani, and/or Kovu to show up later in the series. I want to believe that Disney has a better reason than what is obvious for making The Lion Guard a midquel rather than a sequel.

This is wishful thinking on my part, but since we have no idea how the series will do or where it will go as far as story direction. It is an interesting and plausible theory

I want to see Zira again she is one of my favorite characters of the entire franchise and also one of my top disney villains however I can wait for it to happen. The main characters are well children and Zira is a very formidable and just all around scary adversary Bunga the brave would probably in simplest terms wet himself so would probably most of the others, heck I know I was terrified of her when I was a kid.

So it's a double edged sword I want to see her again she's a favorite of mine but I most certainly don't want to see her beaten by Kion and his friends that would only hurt her image so I say save her for later start off relatively kiddy in fact season one could have a similar tone to the cub Simba bits from the first and then get darker as the season goes on. The hyenas are good enough villains for who they are facing giving Kion some kind of trial to prove himself. Then in season 2 Kion and his friends meet Zira.

This could actually work season one is about establishing the Lion guard showing their strengths and skills and also showing Kions defiance of tradition they prove themselves in season one then in season two we meet the outsiders at first they're dealing with say Nuka similar to season one while hinting at Zira in the background then say mid finale or a third into the season Zira appears and just trashes them leaving them completely beaten likely for the first time in the show you could even go as far as having her almost kill them setting you up for far more dramatic and intense second section of season 2.

That would be awesome to see if Disney would be willing to take that approach, teen Nuka could be a formidable enough villain for a team of cubs.
