I wouldn't be surprised if they add her in case people start pairing Kion with Fuli, and people get offended at the idea of an inter-species relationship with a main character.

I kinda hope she'll end up being Kion's possible future love interest/crush. I think that'd be adorable, especially since her name means "Beautiful" in Swahili, i think it'd fit perfectly x3.
