There's already a thread on unnamed lion cubs found in books, comics and games, so I thought, why not start a thread for unnamed adult lion characters found in books, comics and games? Here's an exhaustive list of just about every single unnamed adult lion character I could find:

Yikes, that lioness near Kovu is so dark she's practically black...and does that one in front of Kiara have a beak? (In case it isn't obvious by now, the art in this book really isn't that good.)


Disney's Active Play: Simba's Pride

Lionesses (and their cubs) from Simba's Pride Active Play. As you can see, they are all exact clones of their cubs, right down to the mane tufts and the male-style belly fur.

This lioness, however, is NOT a clone of her cub, though she does resemble him.

This is an odd one. She appears when Simba catches Kiara playing with Kovu and looks vaguely like Nala, but has typical Outsider colors (even tiny pupils). Could the artists have messed Nala up THAT badly, or did an Outsider sneak into this drawing?

Yikes, the Outsiders all turned into Zira clones! And by the way, that blue-eyed lioness in the foreground is NOT Vitani. This is what adult Vitani looks like in the book.

(An Unusual Choir) Simba's uncle and aunt (on the right in the first panel). It's never revealed what their names are or whether they are on Sarabi's or Mufasa's side of the family.

(An Unusual Choir) The lioness on the far right in the first panel has ear rims, but her right one is lighter than her pelt instead of darker. She appears to be the only lioness in the pride besides Simba's aunt (unless you want think the lioness on the far left in the first panel here is a different lioness).

(Simba's New Brother) The two lionesses in the first panel are nameless, though the one on the right looks a bit like Sarabi. Here they are again.

(The Family Tree) There are a lot of lionesses in the first panel here, and a lot in this last panel here. Note: This comic hasn't been translated into English yet, but from what I can tell, Simba and Nala meet a lonely rhino who misses his family and eventually "adopt" him into theirs.

(The Orphaned Birds) There are two lionesses in the last panel. Some people think that the dark one is Tojo's mother.

man, how disney messes with characters and drawing styles, it's hilarious!

but in one panel at the beginning of the Malka comic, you describe the lionesses as unknown, but one says to the other Sarabi. I guess they are ment to be Shrabi and Sarafina, just badly coloured.

That could be, though Sarabi appears later on in the comic, and she looks more like the lighter lioness than the darker one. If those lionesses were meant to be Sarabi and Sarafina, I'd think Sarabi would be lighter than Sarafina, not darker.

I also think it's interesting how many lionesses in the SP Mouseworks book have blue eyes. That used to be thought of as a rare trait, with only Tojo and Vitani having it, but here it looks like it's actually pretty common!
