What do you collect?

I know we have a thread for people to share their collections etc, but what I'm wondering is if there's a specific type of TLK merchandise that you like to collect, whether it be photo frames, pvc figures, plushies, lithographs, books etc.

I'm not someone who collects everything, and yet I collect a variety of what I think are 'nice' things, items that seem to click with me. For instance I have The Art of the Lion King and an amazing sericel of Simba along with some nice lithos. Then I have Lion King magazines which I'm trying to complete my set of and more recently, I've been getting into nice ceramic figurines because while I do have some nice pvc figurines, they're simply not as nice to display as a nice set of ceramic ones. I don't really collect plushies, though I do have a couple, two Simbas which were both given to me, one is Scar (my favourite charry so understandable) and this year I purchased one of the new Banzai plushies as they seemed pretty special to me.

Otherwise, I have a lot of other little odds and ends, which don't really mean as much to me as either they're not sentimental or I didn't have to do much to get it and they're not really things I aim to collect, they're more often things that I've just happened to come across.

So what do you buy? Are you always looking for plushies, books or figurines?

The best two things in my collection are both books, and I have only like one plushie that I had since I was a little kid. So, I collect books! ... and every format of the movies I can get my hands on. I like things that add to the story or just add general information about The Lion King, such as books and comics.

I collect plushes, figurines and film screencaps. I have one adult Simba plush, one adult Nala plush, one cub Simba plush, one cub Nala plush, several figurines of various characters and an abundance of film screencaps. My favorite of those is the one of Nala giving Simba "the look".

Books are something I like to collect too. I have 31 different ones as of right now. They are the easiest things to come across (except if you're a certain series of six books) and you can have the most fun with them. Lion King stories are a real treat for someone like me to read. You might just find information out that no one in the fandom knew before.

Moka your post has given me a new idea. 90% of the books in my collection for the Six New Adventures. Deal? :D Maybe? :cutenala: No? :forgiving: Sigh...Well, the offer's open to anyone.

... cartridge shells.

Well, and pennies, but not as much. The occasional rock, but that's because the front yard grows more rocks than grass.

My collection is based on Lion King CD's.
Trying to get the soundtracks in all languages available.
I have about 65 now (TLK 1, 2, 3, TLKoB, singles, etc...)

Other then that, I just get most things I can get my hands on, lol, but books and pvc figures usually aren't on my list.

I also try and get special editions from the DVD's, now Blu-Rays.
I have 5 DVD's and 4 Blu-Rays already for just TLK 1 alone.

I was working on my inventory today, and I stopped counting at item 433, and there is still more to be added (mainly stuff that's still in the basement).

Ooh, those magazines you mention Azerane, I'm still looking for those too.
I found some French and Spanish ones on ebay, for like 20 $ each. Way too much :( And I wouldn't understand them anyways, lol.
I have the first 3 copys in Dutch.

I like books for that reason too, you can find new characters and new stories, which is always fun, especially if they're written well.

I think I have 40, and there's 80 of them. I got 28 when they were released, found the others a few years ago, but haven't seen any since. I've seen the odd one or two on ebay as well, but they're always in French :P Never seen an english one on ebay. Would really, really love to be able to complete that part of my collection though.

Azerane, if you ever complete that magazine collection, you have to show us! That would be epic! :D

I didn't know cheetahs had chins. ;) lol.
I actually have a second copy, wanna trade for anything? Guessing the 6NA is a bit out of the grasp of my bargaining chip.
