People have different opinions, stating the fact won't really change anything will it? The least people will to is reconsider, but if they are true fans they won't abandon their beliefs
I think it makes all the difference in the world. The facts will remain on the surface only by stating them, not by ignoring them, and by stating the facts I have already helped some fans who used to be confused. So I know for a fact I have made a difference already.
And I don't think you have to stick to your belief in order to stay a true fan of Kopa. I think if you feel like you do have to, then it indeed seems to become a religion. Hence, you're betraying your god and your fellow believers if youo stop believing in Him and instead simply prefer him while accepting that he's not actually real. And in my view of the world, a true fan likes/loves the character and is interested in everything related to it--including the facts of how it was made and what is its official status in the fandom--and is interested in coming up with new theories even though one naturally always stays their own personal vision. In my view of the world, a true fan of something finds fun and interest in also the facts and other theories of the thing, instead of just in one's own.
