You know, I don't think anything really needed to happen behind the scenes. The comics don't make any difference to the movies. Zira killing Kopa was a widespread theory, but I find it a bit sad. If you love Kopa, why would you kill him? Personally, I don't really think Kovu is that important. Or Kiara for that fact. I don't really care much about SP, and Kiara and Kovu are certainly not favourites of mine

Off T i allways view Kopa as running a way. Call me Dariuswimpgib but i think thats just too sad and depressing. But then i did have shenzi die in childbirth. meh.
On T A good example of Kopa not being canon is in the Star Trek universe. As i rember there was a series of bestselling fan books. The creators of ST said it was amazing and they except it as ST fact. But its still not Canon. Well it was closer to Canon then William Shanters ones

I see why you say Kiara and Kovu aren't that important I don't really 'love' Kopa, I just think he fits quite well into the story. And as you can tell, I love Zira and I think killing Simba's son makes her that much more sinister. And I doubt Simba had the backbone to kill her, so he exiled her to the barren outlands.

Makes sense, actually. I always believe that Kopa got attacked by Zira but survived and ran away, or he just ran away. If you go with the first one, SImba would have though Zira killed Kopa and exiled her, which is a lot less depressing but still makes Zira the more brutal one - Say she thought Kopa was dead when he wasn't, that is.

True, In a fan fic i did i gave her morealess Scizophrenia. And she also tortures Kiara. Zira reminds me alot of a Military general. Who cant stand losing
