I think Scar+Zira= Vitani. No right or wrong, though. But, physically, she bears the most resemblence to the both of them.

I don't think Scar is her father. Because she appears to be the same age as Kovu whose father Kovu officially isn't. I really think Vitani and Kovu were litter mates because even with lesser growth because of lack of good food, Vitani would have to be remarkably bigger than Kovu, if they weren't from the same litter. But they appear exactly the same size. Even Kovu would have to be bigger than Kiara but isn't, so if we imagine that Vitani was even remarkably older than Kovu, then her growth would be frightfully lacking. o.O She'd be a lion midget.

It isn't even official if Zira was even Scar's mate. She could just as well be just a fanatic fangirl who dreamt of being his queen and mate.

Actually... I agree! I think Vitani and Kovu are full relatives from the same rogue lion! You convinced me on that one because of time gap and physical evidence; I wasn't so convinced with Kopa because you stated how the character's would be acting/reacting. Kopa is a wee bit overrated, though This could be a great oppurtunity to create fan-art of Kovu and Tani's dad.

Actually there is the same time gap and physical evidence with Kopa too. But to go into that here, would be off-topic. Besides, you completely ignored couple of highly essential character reactions that I pointed out, so you being unconvinced is not completely believable yet. ^^

I've always thought that Vitani was Kovu's sister. It makes more sense, SBS has already cleared that up. As for Zira, Scar could've just been using her for an heir (Nuka) But he wasn't good enough so Scar just gave up and was killed before he could make sure he was getting another heir... And Zira was heartbroken and went to someone else or something, and the result was Kovu and Vitani... Then she went mad.

Except that the film and its deleted scene makes clear Kovu was born before Scar died and that Scar chose him as his heir.
Zira: "Scar himself chose him to follow in his foorprints and become king."
Nuka: "Kovu Kovu Kovu... Scar wasn't even his father. He just took him in."
In the deleted scene--Zira: "Remember, Scar took you in and accepted you as his own son." (Kovu: "But he wasn't my father.") Zira: "No, but he chose you to become the next king."
