SBS:

Snowy is right. If you used my drawing and claimed it as your own, it would be stealing, I'm afraid. So, if you used Disney's drawing, it's also STILL copyrighted to Disney. Just because they are a huge corperation, doesn't make it right to say you own something that belongs to them, no matter what you'd done to it.

Ontopic:

I think Kopa is a cute character and while he might not have been made my the artists who made TLK or TLK2, he's adorable and I like his storylines, so I use him as if he was a canon character.
It's graphic artists, not fan artists, there is a difference and a group for each.
Ok, fine. Call it whatever art you wish but the key word is that it's something by an artist, as in someone's creative work, and thus the artist should be asked a permission if their art is wished to be used, or in the least credit the artist appropriately.

I know! But where do you see me claiming the screen captures as my own?! I'm just crediting myself for the graphic art I made with the screen captures.

You said the copyright was yours, which was grossly untrue.

The copyright of the graphic is mine because I created it, the same as the copyright of the screen capture I used for it, is Walt Disney Pictures' because their workers' created it.

Using someone else's graphics without asking them and even without crediting the, is wrong. It is literally in this forum's Universal Rules.

And yes, we can get back on topic.
I beleive that Kopa is the cub at the end of TLK. I'm not hurting Simba so badly with my beleif because I beleive Kopa is alive.
I personally think that's actually hurting Simba even worse than if Kopa was murdered.
Here's why: Having a child disappear without a trace is killing a loving parent with worry and fear of what might be happening to their precious child at the very moment. 'Is my child dead or alive? If he's dead, did he die a slow and painful death? If he's still alive, is he being tortured, or is he happy? Does he remember me? Does he need me and I can't be there?' As long as the child is missing, the parent will be sick of worry and see nightmares related to those qurstions and thus never be able to get any kind of true peace of mind. But if a child is dead and the parent knows it for sure... Though the parent of course never truly gets over it, they will be able to accept it in time and move on, because there's no question of the child's state, but just knowledge of that it's over and a comforting thought that the child can not feel pain anymore.

Remember that I was analyzing a loving parent which Simba and Nala evidently are to their child. And regarding Simba's own growing up story, instead of simply slightly over-protecting Kiara, he'd probably be waking up screaming every night and going insane every day if he had a disappeared child.
1) I know you say that the TLK cub was Kiara but its obvious that the cub is a male.
Not to me. Simba is the only example of a baby boy we have in the movie universe, while he had fruit juice on his forehead when Rafiki held him up but Fluffy doesn't have it at the same point. And the fruit juice bit seems like an essential part of the ceremony. So the lack of it at the point the only known baby boy had it, makes me wonder if it might be a girl after all. Also, the only known baby boy didn't have ear rings while Fluffy and one female, (Sarabi) do have them. Thus again Fluffy might very well be a girl.
The presentation was different. The colors were different. Simba and Nala looked younger at the end of TLK than at the beggining of SP.
And the script writers and animators were different which can easily be all the reason there is to the differences.

The reason number 2 has been argued enough. I don't botehr anymore.
3) I beleive that Kopa was kidnapped by Zira and taken to another Pride. Simba thought that Zira murdered Kopa and banished half of his Pride.
Then how can you say you're not hurting Simba as badly as those who vision Kopa actually murdered?

I think Kopa is a very cool character, even if I don't know him very well. Since he was written into the books that sold with the DIsney logo/endorsement/whatever, I would call him an extended universe character. Just like how characters in Star Wars books or any other movie franchise's novel follow ups are extended universe characters. I wouldn't say that he is 'canon' (although that's a really stupid word because all it does here is get everyone angry at each other) however. He was created after TLK before a sequel was planned. Because TLK SP was (in my opinion) was not exactly put together with attention to detail and story continuity foremost in mind, Kopa was ignored and they instead used Kiara because a female cub fit the story they wanted. Therefor, Kopa fell in an awkward gap and we're forced to speculate and come up with theories of just why (in the TLK universe) Kopa isn't in the movie. In the real world, it's because the creators of SP ignored his existence; that leaves it up to us fans to come up with our own ideas of just what happened to Kopa, which I think makes for a very fun and unique opportunity for fanfics/theories/comics.

Why are people viewing Kopa's existence as something to get so angry with each other over? It's a wonderful opportunity for us fans to demonstrate our thinking and creativity and figure out something to do with this cool character. ^^
Kopa was ignored and they instead used Kiara because a female cub fit the story they wanted.
I can't see that as the reason. Because their story's essence is Romeo & Juliet and they could've just as easily made Simba & Nala "Romeo"'s parents and Zira "Juliet"'s parent (as she had a daufgrer anyway.) So, I'm guessing the reason for making Fluffy a girl is something else.

I agree with everything except thaat 'we're forced to come up with theories' bit. No one is forced to come up with theories of just why Kopa isn't n the films. It is our personal choice. I mean, see how I and gazillion other fans never came up with any theories for that matter. We just simply took a look into the backgrounds of the books and into the commentary track of the film - as in, into facts and knew the reason. Quick, educating, clarifying and fun because learning what's official in a fandom I love, is fun.
