Love conquers all, he is aided in his escape from his mother in part by her plan and in part by the love he found. But in the end he had to be good to begin with for it to work out.

Kovu used to be my favorite character. But here is something that I bet most of you never noticed.
Image
Most of you will recognize this scene from Simba's Pride. Right after Zira dies. However, notice that Kovu's scar is gone. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but it bothered me so much that I got to two conclusions as to why this is:

1: Zira raised Kovu as her own, demented as she was. She was the one who gave Kovu his scar. When she died, Kovu had just given up and enormous part of his past. Disney took the time to illustrate that in making his scar vanish after Zira's death, signifying that Kovu was no longer who Zira had raised him to be. After this scene, of course, his scar returns as if it had never vanished.

2: Disney got lazy near the end of Simba's Pride and forgot to add the scar.

What do you guys think of this?

Although that's a great assumption Simba66, I think it's just a mess-up because they did the same thing with the hole in Zira's ear a lot.

It's a mistake, his scar is visible again later.

It's true that they most likely got lazy near the end. But I think for the sake of Kovu's awesomeness, we should go with my first assumption. who's with me?
