One thing that doesn't make sense about Zira is that she doesn't show up in the first movie. If she was Scar's mate, then wouldn't she be the queen in the part when Scar was the king? And also, if Nuka could already have been born by then, wouldn't they show him? Also, wouldn't the lionesses on Scar and Zira's side stick up for Scar in some of those parts in the end? It seems like all of the lionesses are on Simba's side.

I believe that Zira, Nuka and the other future Outsiders were hunting when Simba arrived, and that's why they weren't there to help Scar.
The Disney people weren't planning to make a sequel when they were making TLK, so of course they couldn't know about Zira and the Outsiders.
