I don't know why Scar got the scratch on the left eye? I know the Kovu got the scratch because Zira, but not for Scar..

Well the book says Scar got his scratch from buffalo. Buffalo was chasing Scar and hit him. Scar's name was actually Taka, but when he got that scratch on hes eye he wanted to change hes name to Scar..

That's right, But it sounds kinda weird.
It really looks like an other lion (or another animal with claws or nails) did it.
Just like Zira did by kovu >
Scar had exactly the same Scar as Kovu haves.

i thought he wanted to be called scar because he hated ahadi and then after he got the scar he wanted nothing to do with him anymore so he called himself scar and not taka anymore
