I think Scar started losing it towards the end, he was old and to him anything was possible (afterall it is a disney movie :L). It happens to the best of us (:

true, especially since he became king and had no idea what he was getting into.

Scar is one of the few villains that actually succeeds to kill who he has gone after in the Disney universe. Not to mention he's sarcastic and dry, which is hilarious. He's also extremely intelligent but has his flaws, which show up in his madness after he kills his brother. Best villain ever.

Not to mention Jeremy Irons' voice. Hot.

ha, scar is highly successful for a Disney villain. His henchmen are the reason for his downfall (not killing Simba) but his insanity has something to do with it.

He's a really good villian. It's so sad to see him kill Mufasa and put Simba through all that misery! ='(
