In the first movie, he was ok. On the second movie, he acted like a jerk and was too overprotective and mean to Kovu xD

Well, it's understandable that he didn't like Kovu very much. But I didn't like the way he treated Kiara.

I have always preferred Cub Simba. Adult Simba has never been a favourite character of mine.

Just a note about Kopa: In TLK6NA it is shown that Simba is too busy with his royal duties to spend much time with Kopa. In fact, Nala is the more protective parent! I believe that Nala realized being too protective and worry and fuss over your cub constantly is not going to do you or them any good. With Kiara, Nala had much the same parenting style as Sarafina, more relaxed, giving her daugter the trust and personal freedom she needs.
I believe that the loss of Kopa left both Simba and Nala devastated, but Simba is trying to make up for his mistakes with Kopa by being extremly protective of Kiara, to prevent the loss of another cub.

Although I completly understand Simbas need to protect his daughter, I always feel so sorry for Kiara... Not allowing her to hunt ever again is just idiotic.

Disney actually planned to kill him in SP, but they thought it was too dark. lol. They killed his father and thought it was ok, now killing Simba himself is dark? lol.

I actually think simba is one of the weakest lions in the lion king. Ill kill him with my bare hands!
