That was exactly what I was thinking.
But there would be a problem with more cubs: the parents. Who would they be?
TLK creates so many family tree and incest discussions with just two cubs, imagine with 5 or 6.

Is a good question, many would love to see them to get around with Simba and Nala, but then everyone would start ask that kind of questions

I guess they would. Still, it could've been teh scene when Simba runs up to Nala, and on the run down there are cubs playing next to one or two of the lionesses. People could just make up their futures. It would be like all the other lionesses in the Pride - They are there, but no-one really makes anything out of them

But then again, those cubs would most likely be Mufasa's children. So the whole "killing the prince so that I can have the throne" wouldn't work because ther'ed be alot more heirs.

Nice one! :)
It would be interesting to see more cubs but they wouldn't fit in the story.

Not if they also drew couple of adult males there among the lionessess, instead of having just Mufasa and Scar.

But again, Those males could be candidates to the throne also.

And Nala would never run away to find help.

But if they still kept the line "I was first in line until that little hairball was born." it would make clear that the other males are not candidates to the throne, not part of the royal blood-line. And, Scar could've exiled them to avoid any challenges should something go wrong, which would lead Nala having to leave and find help.

Usually it's just one lion & lots of lioness', sometimes the pride is lead by brothers, but there have been prides recorded having even six males in it (of course lead by only one or two of them), so they could've made Mufasa's pride one of them.

I guess so. But I think that is the reason for the lack of cubs in TLK, but the lack of cubs in SP is silly. There's no reason for there to only be ONE cub!
