lol, I always just chalk that one up to them toning Nala's character down a lot so that the main focus would be on Kiara for TLK2SP Mike. ^^ There are just so many Nala fans out there, that I'm sure Kiara's character would have been sorely shadowed by Nala's if they kept her the way she was in TLK. ^^ Just my thoughts though. lol.[/quote]

I think that’s very true. Being a huge Nala fan, I really disliked that her character was given such a small part in SP. She still fills her function as Simbas voice of reason though, and she is a great mother to Kiara.
I have become a huge Kiara fan as well, and it’s only natural that the sequel focuses on the children of the main characters from the first movie. (Like The Little Mermaid II focuses on Melody, Ariels daughter.)
In SP, the spotlight is supposed to be on Kiara and Kovu, Simba and Nala had their minutes of fame in TLK.

Again, I'm probably going to be alone in this view, but Nala to me wasn't the best character. I could stand her though and to be honest, I actually liked her better in the sequel. She seemed to be wise, quiet, and merciful. I thought she was a bit too perfect in both films though. I definitely like her over Kovu, but if she was going to be one of my more favorite characters, I would want to find out more of her backstory, and more about her in general. Then maybe my opinion of her would change. But yes...there should have been a scene why Nala is the way she is and just what she is thinking.

So she's not my favorite character, she never was, but I don't mind her.

You know, I've always thought that Nala always looked prettier in TLK2, because she's more calm, and less hyper. Basically, she's much like Sarabi in TLK2. Also, her eyes. I love her eyes. Always almost half-closed. Sexy.
