I didn't even need them now that I realize it. The only time I used them was to scare the wildebeests down into the gorge, which I could've done myself.

Nuka was a failure to me ever since he was born. He was a weak, sick cub that grew up to be a weak adult. I actually didn't even think he'd survive cubhood. Zira made sure that he did.
Morri: Besides needing the beasts for bodyguards incase the lionesses tried something, I didn't really need them. If there were no hyenas, I might have been able to do everything myself, but I would be unprotected later on.
