Simba is the most impressive character in Disney history. No. I'm wrong. He is the most impressive character in history. While some people would let the death of a loved one hack at their souls until judgment day or sooner, Simba pressed on and found the truth. His past leads himself to become a brave and strong hero of which only Kovu can rival. However, heroism set aside for a moment, we can see a much more developed character in Simba. Farther expanded than that of any other hero that Disney has ever created. Simba is wise, strong, loving, and he has a great sense of humor. And for those who say that Simba is bad in Simba's Pride, let me enlighten you. Simba is overprotective of Kiara. That is set in stone. Everybody knows this. However, Mufasa was also very protective of Simba as a cub. Now, as for why he doesn't trust Kovu, lets dive deeper into the story shall we? Think of everything that Scar did:
1. Tricked Simba into going to an elephant graveyard in an attempt to kill him.
2. Formed an alliance with the hyenas with one goal in mind, "take Mufasa down"
3. tried to kill Mufasa and Simba in one go.
4. Convinced Simba that he killed his own father.
5. Took control of and decimated the Pride Lands.
6. When Simba returned, tried to turn his own pride against him.
7. Tried to blame the whole thing on the hyenas to save his own skin.
8. Finally, tried to kill Simba.

Now, wrap all this up in a cub that was destined to be Scar's heir. I think I win.

This is in no way meant to dishearten or insult Kovu supporters, since I myself am a Kovu supporter. I support all characters as equally as I can, but what can I say about a character who changed my life? Well now... I think I've made my point. Simba is incredible in the first and the second movies. :cool5:

Exactly my own persepective of Simba too! 8-) When he had the confront Scar at the end of TLK1, that was his moment to clear off everything from what has happened to him as a cubby while growing up. The bravery grows within himself as he gets older and uses it when neccesary. I hear from others say things like how Simba's bad in TLK2 but I don't see him as a treat, even though he changed differently. I understand him and why he acts these certain ways in SP but it all traces back to his past from TLK1. My love for Simba is in both for Cubby Simba and Adult Simba but for me, I love Adult Simba by just a bit more. :)

Me too. Most people say adult Simba is too mellow and quiet but I love him a bit more than cubby Simba.

How is Adult Simba too quite? Also, What do others mean that Adult Simba is too "mellow"? I would like those 2 answers for my curious questions about Simba. ;)

I cannot agree with you more on this. We are constantly subjected to fight scenes in which the villain far exceeds the hero (although, Aladdin vs Jafar is still a really good fight). But that's not the case in this one. It's just lion vs lion. And either one could win. And the music shows just how epic the fight is. The music itself is enough to define it in a class all its own. And the slow motion effect adds even more to the intensity of the moment. While Simba is thinking: "You killed my father! You're not going to get away with this!" Scar is thinking "I've waited for years to be king, and you are not going to take that from me!".

The end result is a fight that redefines the word 'epic' and skyrockets Simba to a new degree of awesome.
