Race Difference between Mufasa and Scar

Soooooo Mufasa and Scar are brothers... But Mufasa's a Pridelander and Scar's an Outlander - quite the genetic difference. Doesn't this mean that one of them had a different father/mother?

Possibly or one of their parents was a Outlander and the other was a Pridelander

From what I gather, the distinction between Outlanders and pridelanders was only made after Simba exiled Zira and her lionesses. Outlanders and pridelanders aren't different races, they just follow a different leader.

Hmm, I'll have to agree with Mike- I always thought that Outlanders/Pridelanders were based on their leader, though I wasn't too sure until this thread XP

That's not a race difference, is it? They might be from different fathers..-or mothers. But seen from most common Uru and Ahadi designs, and according to the story "a tale of two brothers" they are full brothers.

Then it's not a racial difference, since they just have different physical characteristics. And as Kiara states in TLK2, Pridelanders and Outlanders are pretty much the same thing. That's the whole point of We Are One lol.
Mufasa and Taka have the same parents, just different outward appearances. Siblings sometimes look nothing alike and one might have a physical trait that was "hidden" for both parents, like Taka's green eye color.

Outlanders just have a different leader because of their exile.i believe scar got his outlander looking look from Uru and mufasa got his looks from his dad.

I suppose...I always thought of Mohatu being an Outlander, him being the father of Uru. Thus, Uru having the Outlander look. I don't think its a race difference.
