Do you think Kiara ever met Kovu again when they were still cubs?

Also, do you think Kiara would have been able to pin Kovu if they had been playfighting? (Maybe Nala taught Kiara some tricks, lol)

Yep, I think they met more than once, because it would be impossible for Kovu to fall in love with Kiara so quick if they only met once as cubs.

And I think someone would win at random, because Kovu was being trained by Zira and Kiara had a really tough mother.

I agree, I think they met again several times as cubs. It seems weird that Kovu would fall in love so quickly and want to abandon Ziras plans if he hadn’t met Kiara more than once.
I do however think that as they grew older, they were both being occupied with different things that kept them from meeting eachother. Zira probably kept intensifying Kovus training, making him spend more time with her instead of wandering off.. And Kiara would be training in hunting and fighting with Nala and the lionesses, plus getting lessons from Simba in how to rule the kingdom.

So I think that as little cubs, they met several times, and developed a friendship... But as they became young adults they were kept too busy. So I think that when Kovu rescues Kiara from the fire, they had not seen eachother for a very long time. It would definatly explain why Kiara could not recognize Kovu.. (his mane was not fully grown last time they met)

Well, when it comes to Kiara and Kovus fighting skills (as cubs) I don’t think Kiara was as strong as Nala was her age. I think Nala tought Kiara her pinning move, but only when Kiara got older..

I think Kovu would have pinned Kiara. Not because Kiara is weak, but because he seemed well trained in fighting even as a cub. (It certainly seemed like he and Vitani fought a lot).

I don't think they met more than once, just in the fact that when Kovu rescues Kiara from the fire, it takes her a little while to figure out that it's Kovu who saved her. This leads me to believe that the two hadn't seen each other since they were cubs. Also, knowing how overprotective Simba was, I doubt he would have let Kiara out of his sight after that little encounter, and Zira probably had Kovu training all the live long day for him to grow up as powerfully built as he was from living in The Outlands.

As for Kiara pinning Kovu, I don't think it could happen as cubs but much like PK stated, it's not cause Kiara was weak, just that Kovu had more experience when it came to fighting, due to having siblings to actually spar with, unlike Kiara.

Also I don't think Kiara would have remembered Kovu's name so quickly if they hadn't met more than once as cubs. It only took her a few seconds to remember it. In fact, if they hadn't met several times when they were younger, she probably would of forgotten the whole first encounter itself.

Hmm, I think she would have recognized him a lot quicker if they had actually met on several occasions though. The way they interacted reminded Kiara of the events when they were cubs, so she wouldn't have had to recall the event clearly herself. It also took Simba and company a while to realize that it was Kovu too and they might not have even done so if Kiara hadn't mentioned his name to begin with, so again, I really feel as though they only met once. ^^ You don't easily forget almost being eaten by crocodiles I'd assume anyways.

Well, I think Kovu’s remark "what are you doing" had been standing out as a clear memory for Kiara from the first time they met. It’s what makes her realize that it’s Kovu who rescued her. I think their whole first meeting was a pretty clear memory for Kiara, seeing as how dramatic it was.

I still think they met more than once, though. Even if Kiara would remember their first meeting well, I think the crocodile chase would be the thing to stand out most.. And like I said before, I think they only met a few times as cubs before they were kept too busy by their parents.
We’ve seen how easily Kiara can escape Timon and Pumbaa, and I doubt Simba would have the time to babysit her himself.. So I see no reason why Kiara wouldn’t be able to go back to the border.
I think Kovu would have a harder time of it, because of his training with Zira. But I still think he would have a few chances at slipping away..

But because of this, I think they only met a couple of more times as cubs before finally reuniting as adults. If Kiara had not seen Kovu for a very long time, it seems natural that she would not recognize him, especially seeing as how dramatic the appearance of male lions change as they grow older.
