Kiara's Reflection

Sorry if this has already been posted or asked before but there is something that has always bugged me in Simba's Pride. When Kiara runs off to find Kovu after he has been banished and she jumps into the pool before looking down at her reflection, to me that does not look like her. To me it looked like Sarabi for some reason. But is it her own reflection or is it another lioness? Can someone help me out?

Just went back to look at it. I can see where you're coming from about her looking like Sarabi.
While it could be a sort of parallel to Simba's reflection in movie 1, the main point for it here was to show that now that Kovu's gone half of Kiara's reflection is now gone, going back to the "We are One" point. So, it's Kiara, but with half of her missing

I think the reason why Kiara looks a bit like Sarabi is because the artists wanted to show that half of her was missing, while still making the reflection look believable and not like half of it was cut with a knife and removed. As the main point of that scene was to reinforce the whole "We Are One", I think that any resemblances to Sarabi were unintentional.
