Whose sense of humour is like yours?

Just a bit of fun. And I really feel I need to contribute more to the TLK of MLK. ^^"

'Kayy... so as the title enquires, what's your sense of humour like? Have a looksie and vote for which TLK character you share your methods of hilarity with...


The Scar - "I have wit gushing from every pore, and am a master of sarcasm. Do not attempt to compete.."

The Rafiki - "I frequently find fruit hilarious."

The Cub Simba - "I laugh in the face of danger... ha ha ha!"

The Nala - "I am a well-balanced individual, and so is my sense of humour. It's juuuust right, whatever that means!"

The Mufasa - "My sense of humour is proper and thoroughly inoffensive. And sometimes accompanied by a 'noogie.'"

The Adult Simba - "I only laugh with relief because Kiara is close enough. Argh! Where has she GONE?? Oh, it's okay, she's there."

The Timon & Pumbaa - "My sense of humour is rather energetic and silly. May involve flatulence."

The Banzai & Shenzi - "I get together with a friend and we attempt to outjoke each other, regardless of the situation!"

The Ed - "Hee hee ha, ha ha, HAHAHA!!???!!"

The Kovu - "I was brought up not to laugh or joke, but I broke my programming."

The Zira - "I deal in evil laughs only."

The Zazu - "I have no sense of humour. What an inefficient use of time."

Decisions... decisions...

I chose Scar... especially IRL, his style is much like mine.

I voted Nala... because you said so!

I don't tend to go in for silly 'obvious' humour, like you get with shows like 'Little Britain', and I'm more for shows like 'Extras' (well done if you've actually heard of these XD). So I have similarities to Scar and Zazu's drier wit in my mind - yet I'm not so quick with the amusing remarks as them. Yet sometimes I find random things funny and keep laughing rather like Ed or Rafiki.

So 'twas best to go with a mix to avoid further confusion.

WAT, are you kidding me, Zazu no sense of humor?? U mad bro?

If Scar wasn't so bitter/arrogant, and if Zazu tempered the neurotics, I think him and Zazu would get along famously with a droll running commentary on pride life. I think Scar and Zazu is one of the neater relationships to explore and they play off of each other remarkably well.



And ah. The subtle differences in the hyena's humor that the non-obsessive don't always properly appreciate, namely the secret observation/knowledge of hyena fans everywhere, (and why we all tend to appreciate him a lot more than the un-initiated,) that Banzai really is the funniest one as far as jokes go. As much as Disney *can* have sadistic/gallows humor, he's got it.

Shenzi is more the energy trigger that keeps it going than the punchline, her humor is more situationally reactive, whipcrack keen to opportunities to, well, go in for the kill, whether it's picking up on putting Banzai down in the space of a heartbeat, instantly locking in on exploiting Simba's ridiculous squeak, or seeing the "food humor" chances while rounding up the intruders and going for it/starting the ball rolling.

And Ed is the magnifier that *when* he picks up on things just throws all of it completely out of trim into the insanity where he lives perpetually, one way or another, to everyone & anyone's good or ill, lol.


And if I have made anyone appreciate the hyenas just a little bit more the next time they watch the movie by this post, my work here is done Cause it really is exactly so.



....As for myself, truth be told my humor is most like Zazu's, tbh. Wry and droll all the way With occasional goofy stupidity.

For the record, I love the hyenas myself. I do appreciate their individual traits and nuances, as well as how they come together as a group. Buttt... This is only a bit of funnn!?

Haha, I wasn't meaning any of that at/towards you, I launch into talking about the hyenas any chance I get and most the "regulars" know it About 5 people probably rolled their eyes at my post, I wasn't even thinking about your poll anymore, I was on a roll

Honestly, I'd have to say I'm a mix between Banzai, Shenzi and Ed. Me and my brothers tend to go back and forth saying a bunch of hilarious stuff I just have to write down so I don't forget it how funny it is. ^^ Oh, and Ed's because that's what we're all like by the end. Lol, and sometimes I just laugh for what seems to be no apparent reason!

No worries. ^^ I very much like the hyenas too, as I said, so feel free to launch at me whenever you wanna talk about them! Haaaa.

And it's in Zazu's majordomo job contract to take a bit of a bashing every now and then. He knows what he signed up for...
