Zira was cheating on Scar?

I find it very interesting to think about. Zira would always look as if she was VERY loyal to Scar, and yet, she hang out with another lion and had Kovu with him while Scar was still alive. Since we all know that Scar isn't Kovu's father, then it must be another lion, and Scar chose Kovu to be the king, so this means that he was born when Scar was still a king.

I don't think I really think Scar and Zira were ever actually a couple as much as Zira thinks they were. If Scar is responsible for Nuka I imagine it was a pairing of opportunity, and when Nuka turned out so stellar, can totally see Zira reacting to any coldness/distance between them afterwards (since again, I doubt she really meant anything to him, I don't think Scar was capable of people meaning things to him,) by deciding to "serve" Scar some other way. Like squeezing out a buncha cubbies to populate his pride.

For those who have read/watched Harry Potter, I think Scar and Zira were kind of like Voldemort and Bellatrix....she was in love with him but it was an obsessive kind of love, she worshiped him more than anything and lived to serve him. He didn't love her back because he wasn't capable of loving anyone but himself, in fact I don't think he even cared for her, but she was too obsessed to realise. Out of her cubs, I think Nuka could possibly have been Scar's son, but I believe she had the other two with someone else. With whom, I don't know. Maybe a rogue. It's possible that Scar had actually instructed her to do so because he wanted the possible heir to be strong enough to take down any intruders. Which didn't work out with his set of genes.

No, she didn't. Zira and Scar were never a couple to begin with. Back when Kovu is written as Scar's son during early production, Zira was to be Scar's mate, but when the incentous undertones were made known, they removed Kovu from being Scar's son so Zira is no longer Scar's cub.

So, I'm positive that all of Zira's cubs belong to one male. All I see in their relationship is that Zira respected Scar and worshipped him like a god, but Scar looked down on her as just as another follower. He could never love her since he had no love for even his own family members. Finally, since the movie makes intentional Hitler references to Scar during "Be Prepared", I see Zira as his Eva Braun, a delusional follower and one-day wife to Adolf Hitler.

If anything, Zira and Scar got into an agreement where she would produce a strong male heir for him - meaning that Scar was not the father. I think that Scar had Zira get into a relationship with another strong male, only briefly enough, so that Zira would finally be able to produce a stron heir instead of a weakling like Nuka. Scar could have easily seen this as a sacrifice for the greater good.

I have felt this exact way for YEARS. I never saw any romance between the two as like you I don't think Scar is capable of love. He is so self absorbed. Even when he tried to 'seduce' Nala in the Broadway production it was only because he wanted babies, not because he had any feelings for her.

You all have interesting answers, but in the end, we can never know how Scar felts about Zira. It's mentioned in any part of the three movies.

I wouldn't be surprised if Scar exploited Zira's obsessiveness for his own gain. I can see him say a few things to her to make her feel 'special'. That or maybe he said something and she put too much importance into it than it really was. All in all, I just plain never saw Zira and Scar as a couple. I have seen some cute Zira/Scar fanart though.

About Kovu I personally think it doesn't make a lot of sense he isn't his real son. I mean, he kinda looks like him and stuff. But then again I understand they decided that or else that would make Kovu and Kiara family from each other. ^^'' (altough it's still kinda weird even if Kovu isn't Scar his real son IMO)
Zira might have cheaten on him altough I think Scar wouldn't decide Kovu to be the King then. ^^'' He would more likely hate him or something xD
Maybe they adopted Kovu? ^^'' I think Zira wasn't as cold as Scar was before Scar died. ^^ I think his death made her go pretty insane and wanting revenge and stuff. So..could be possible.

Personally I like to think, like Miharuka, that Scar and Zira did have some sort of relationship. Although, considering it was Scar I'm guessing it was much more likely something along the lines of AdAstra's idea. I believe that Nuka is Scars son, but not Vitani and we know for a fact that Kovu isn't. I expect Scar made Zira mate with a rouge before killing him or banishing him, so that he could get a strong heir.
