Do you think Zira would've made a good queen?

Supposing that she took over the Pride Lands, do you think Zira would've made a good queen?

Well, Zira is an evil character and I hate to think that her ruling the pride lands would probably be a female version of Scar ruling the lands, except that no hyenas would be there for Zira. But I wouldn't mind seeing Zira roaring and celebrating ruling the lands.

Hm... well I don't think she'd be a very good queen. I think she'd rule just like Scar did and drive the lands into despair. Even though she's my favourite I don't think she'd be right for the job xD

My initial reaction was no, although the more I think about this, the less I'm sure about that decision.

My reasoning being that, well, she would probably pass the kobayashi maru test. Clearly, she wasn't afraid of death. As Simba would say, she couldn't let go of her anger, and in the end, it destroyed her. But what if she was queen? What if she lived to see Kovu rule the pridelands? Would she still be insane? In fact, insane really isn't even the right word. She wasn't a psychopath. She seemed to care about Kovu, and even Nuka's death still upset her.

...You know, was it really her anger that destroyed her? Or was it her love for Scar, and later Nuka? She risked her life fighting for what she believed in. While, if she did rule the pridelands, it would probably be left in a militaristic state, unlike Scar, at least you would know what you're fighting for. Scar only wanted power for himself. Zira only wanted to avenge Scar, and she was willing to give her life to do that. That seems kinda altruistic to me. Zira seemed to be kinda coldhearted in SP, but I think that if she was on my side, with better living conditions, that would change.

I don't really know, but the thought is intriguing.

I don't think Zira would handle the job as a queen very fluently. Besides, if she was still alive after Simba accepted Kovu and the Outsiders into his pride with the peace together, she would have not been able to adjust to all the changes. She was so used to living a dark life in a terrible environment, looking forward to fulfilling Scar's future expectations, and being obsessed with killing Simba. Her hate held the attention towards her mastermind plans and got the best of her when she died for not accepting a Pridelander's help. A queen is supposed to do what's right, not what she feels like doing nor evil.

I think she would end up being a tyrant. She already showed us that she's willing to kill anyone who doesn't obey her when she threatened to kill Vitani for not fighting.

Considering that her idol / figure of worship is Scar, I somehow doubt that she would do well as a queen. Not only that, but she is so nuts, I find it hard to see her taking trouble from anyone else, something that a queen will get often. Zira's attitude is "my way or the highway", and when you are a monarch, such an attitude is, well, bad.

I have to agree with "no"

Here's why--she would have attained the throne by obsession, and I think with no more good "objective" like that she would dissolve under her own directionless-ness and FIND new ones.

Unlike Scar even--who though totalitarian DID achieve his specific goal, King of the Pride Lands, and for a time presumably WAS satisfied by it--Zira I think wouldn't know how NOT to fight once she got it.

I foresee that had she got the rulership of the Pridelands, more than Scar who was simply content to be a despot (though one not above exile/killing to maintain it, see Nala and & that "example" hyena he roasted in Be Prepared,) Zira would have started wars with surrounding prides out of not having a militaristic objective anymore. And her pride being so dialed in to conquering for so long would have gladly taken that goal up.

i think she be a repeat of scar. the pride lands would look like they did during scar's rule as king , but with zira , it could be the same , or worse , for that matter.
