Happy 10 Year Anniversary!

Thats right! Today, October 27th is the anniversary of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. 10 years ago the film came out making today the 10th anniversary. Wow, ten years already, huh?

I was eight when the film came to VHS. I was with my grandma in Blockbuster when I saw it on the selves. I'm proud to say I bugged her enough to buy it for me and we watched it with my mom that night. I remember loving it so much, and talking about it during school, I was completely obsessed with Kovu. After a few months the kids began to talk about other movies that were coming out, but I knew I couldn't forget TLK2 that fast!

What are your memories of the first time you watched it?

I had bought the video right after it first came out and I loved it. Everyone at school had watched it and were forming real-life role plays at recess(Keep in mind that this was when I was in kindergarden or first grade). I eventually watched it so much that the tape eventually wore out and didnt work. I now havent seen SP for over 5 years and its been driving me crazy! I still have the broken tape though, so I can sit and look at the cover and think of watching it.

Wow, 10 years I never watched TLK2 intil about last summer. Sad isn't it?

I stopped watching them for a while until I saw The Lion King again in my Junior year in high school. I had forgotten how much I loved the movies!

I don't remember the first time I saw the movie (I can barely remember Jr. High for that matter) and it wasn't until freshmen year that I was drawn back to TLK. I was in the middle of my lion obsession when I noticed TLK 2 next to the VCR and decided why the heck not. I've been obsessed with Kovu ever since...

Freshman year was a good year... I miss it so.... but I have my TLK and my Kovu to cheer me up!

Yeah I like freshman year too! I had a really crazy science teacher, she was really funny

I immediately grabbed up my old tabby Lion King plushies and started acting out what I thought it would be like after I saw a few previews on tv (I was 6 at the time). then I decided to create my own character, Scar's daughter Keyara....it wasn't until I had the vhs for awhile that I noticed it said Kiara was the name of Simba's daughter, which I had thought was Tiara previously. so, that led me to coloring every lion in every coloring book I had like Vitani, Kovu, Nuka, and my Keyara. ( no Nuka smiley)

my freshman year was ok....but we have a grade lower than freshman at our high school, rookies, so it wasn't much different except we knew how everything goes.

Rookies? I've never heard of that

Its interesting that you would think of "Keyara" and then the name was actually used in the movie
And OMG I don't have a Nuka smilie! I'll have to add that to the todo list as well
