.....Musfasa isnt dead. You never see in the film it actually get confirmed, its entirely possible he was just unconscious and when he woke? well maybe amnesia or for whatever reason he didnt go back. Weird theory I know but what do you guys think? and if he did survive what do you think the reason is he never returned?

Then how did he come back as a ghost to enlighten Simba at the jungle? I think that he died. Besides, a fall like that would kill him for sure. If not that, the stampede would. Mufasa did not survive.

i know more than likely he did yes, but im just saying what if? just cause simba saw him in the jungle dont mean hes gone, rafiki can mess with your head dont forget all that hocus pocus

If Mufasa survived the wildebeest stampede, he would have returned back to Pride Rock to regain his throne from Scar, and had the hyenas driven out with help from the lionesses. Mufasa would have told his pride that Scar threw him off the cliff, and probably exiled Scar for attempted murder of a monarch. However, I'm not sure he would have thought Simba was still alive, but if he asked the lionesses, the lionesses would have told him that they were told he died. But, since Mufasa is alive, there's a greater possibility that Simba did survive.

Also, Mufasa is dead. They confirmed it by showing an up close of dead Muffy.. how nice. anyways, I believe that he died. Just like DG said.

I don't think it's possible... If he had amnesia, he'd probably show up on Pride Rock and be killed by the hyenas, or starve in the desert. So even if he survived, he wouldn't really live for long anyway. Also, his injuries...

Very good point! I'm pretty sure he didn't survive. Disney meant for him to be dead but it would be interesting if he was still alive :3
