(Sorry the title doesn't make much sense; words fail me today)
Anyhow, this is my theory for why Simba was so mean and uncaring in Simba's Pride:
As we all know, The Lion King was roughly based off Shakespere's Hamlet, as Simba's Pride was for Romeo and Juliet. My theory is that Simba had to be the "unfaithful, untrustworthy, and not understanding" father of Juliet (Kiara) that wouldn't let Romeo (Kovu) near her. This was probably why Simba was so mean in the sequel: He had to play the role as Juliet's father.
(Yes, very short theory)
What do you all think?
