During Not One Of Us, does anyone else feel weird about the animals (except the lions) singing? To me, that feels weird. Up until that point in the movies, only the main characters have been able to speak. The rest of the animals in the Pride Lands are just extras, they serve as prey for the lions..!! I mean, if all the animals could talk, why did no one cry out "don’t eat me, Princess!" when Kiara was hunting them?

What do the rest of you think about this?

I've been thinking about that, too... It's really confusing. Well, if warthogs, meerkats and hyenas can "speak the same language" as lions, why not antelopes and zebras too... About the hunting scene; Nala tried to catch Pumbaa in the first movie, eventhough they "spoke the same language". Pumbaa didn't scream a word to Nala.

You're right, it is kinda inconsistent. We do see the animals talk a bit more in tlk 1.5 though

I like We Are One and He Lives in You. I think HLIY gives a nice tribute to Mufasa and traces back to part I and everything.

I totally agree with you Julia! It does give a nice Mufasa tribute! I think I like that song better than the Circle Of Life, but COL will always remain a classic LK song. ^^

Not One Of Us is my favourite song. I don't really have a reason for it, that song just seemed to stick to me the most. I love the lyrics from it too. Right after this song comes He Lives With You.
