Any truth to TLK4 rumors??

Well, if they made a TLK3 then why not make a TLK4? Who knows? It could be about Kopa :)
If they did make that, I'm afraid to say it would have endless flaws. For one, Disney is rarely creating traditionally animated films and probably wouldn't bother doing another. Based on what most Kopa fanatics believe to be true, he ends up with a terrible fate as a cub being killed by Zira. Now, that doesn't sound very Disney-friendly, does it? Even if they did make Kopa defeat some villian (Obviously not Zira since she appears in the sequel; another flaw.), this would still leave the wonder on why they didn't add him in the sequel.

If Disney chose him to run away and make his own pride, that would seem kind of pointless and leaves an almost cliffhanger in it's abscence. Simba would be worried about Kopa and have no idea what happened to him, and the movie just wouldn't turn out well. Also, if Disney created another film after the sequel where Kopa comes back, they would have to tell how and why he left. (If he actually survived. Otherwise we'd have a zombie lion, lol) And if so, who would the bad guy be since all the prides are united? Sure a rogue could come in, but that would hardly make a fight, just one lion. They could make the villian get a group of animals and rebel against the Pridelanders, but for one, why would he? And for two, isn't that a lot like Scar and the original story-line of the first film?

I hate to be what you call a "dream-killer", but I'm afraid it's the truth, and I'm just trying to look at it from all angles.

:)

And, for the 6737697627079267000000th time, Kopa is not in the movies.

Indeed, if they were ever to bring Kopa into the movie universe, it most likely would not be anything like Kopa fanatics want it to be. For what has been said, plus they already turned Fluffy into someone, already told a story about Simba's child. They would most likely go for something new. They're aiming at positive reviews and success, which means they can't repeat themselves and be horribly unoriginal.

I rekon if you asked a producer of SP if they considered Kopa, their answer would be...
"Who?"

You know, the hyenas can play the villain's role. After all Nuka said they are still alive. Surely they might want a taste for revenge on simba, even if they already killed Scar. They can play comedy villains like Captain Hook. What do you all think?

You know, they could show that not all hyenas are bad. For example, there could a hyena outcast and would be a new friend to our heroes.

Kind of neutral about the whole TLK4 idea myself, I mean they did a great job with (more recently) Tron and Toy Story sequels, and Tron is even older than TLK. It just needs to have a traditionally animated style, look and feel to it and also it needs an amazing score and art direction... Get all that and it could if not as good as the original then at least be a good entry to the series.
Disney to release more sequels to animated films from the official canon
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has been announced that the five sequels to films from the official Walt Disney Animated Classics canon will each be made by Walt Disney Pictures from almost every year, and was being connected to the Disney Consumer Products line once again. This might be because DisneyToon Studios is being folded to Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Television Animation is being split up to two seperate companies - The official grand comeback of "Walt Disney Television" as well as the television animation subsidiary of the same name as Disney's feature-length film studio in animation: "Walt Disney Animation Studios".

As reported from The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Pictures is also making 30 theatrical film spin-offs of feature films from the Walt Disney Animated Classics canon, all of them that are being produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios (Disney's feature-length film studio in animation), most likely between early 2011 and late 2015. All of its 30 theatrical feature-length film spin-offs of Disney's official canon of animated films will be released between early 2012 and late 2016, as these films will have animation remaining traditional hand-drawn with cel-shaded techniques being used by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Each of these films, when in movie theatres anywhere nationwide, will be preceded by a theatrical animated short being made by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Walt Disney Pictures is finally also producing 10 direct-to-video sequels to spin-offs of films from the official Walt Disney Animated Classics canon between 2012 and 2016, and were also being released between 2013 and 2017.
