With this film, it's okay. Mostly, the only parts I do appriciate and like are all the Simba parts because they're cool and we get to see more of Simba's life in the jungle as he grows up. There are some parts that are funny but also some scenes that I don't like. I prefer TLK1 and TLK2 over TLK 1 1/2 but I do like TLK 1 1/2 [somewhat] on a little level.
My opinions about the movie have changed. I really dislike TLK 1 1/2 so much now. It's not enough about the lions and it's mainly about Timon & Pumbaa, which is BORING!
I hate it. I must admit there were a couple of things I liked about it: The scenes with Cub/Teen Simba in the jungle.. And that`s it. It`s not enough to make me want to purchase the DVD or actually sit down and watch it more than once. I feel it`s a mockery (not a parody, just insulting) of the original majestic work.. I dislike it to the extent of trying to forget it was ever made.
I completely agree on this, which these words have been taken out of my mouth. This movie ruins a lot of the epicness of TLK1. In example: Mufasa's death. This scene is supposed to be dramatic and emotional, but T&P made it into a complete joke. Another example: Mufasa's ghost. In TLK 1 1/2, his ghost does appear in the night skies, but Timon makes some stupid comment by saying "Looks like a storm's heading in" or however way he said it. Like I said before, I only like all the Simba parts in it (cub, teen, and adult) and that's it. At least we get to see how cool Teen Simba is. :) I love TLK1 and TLK2 way more than TLK 1 1/2.

Although I can see why people would like this movie, I was very disappointed with it. Timon and Pumbaa already had their own TV show (which I thought got ruined when they had them interact with humans) and I think making a movie revolving around them was a little too much. They were good as a comic relief and should have stayed that way. It just doesn't feel like Disney put in their best effort with this and seemed like they were just trying to end the series. If anything, they should have made a Lion King 3 and have it revolve around Mufasa and Taka as cubs and then make Lion King 1 1/2.

I voted "hate it", even though I don't really hate it. I simply dislike it. I think 1 1/2 has it's strong points: Timon and Pumbaa managed to get a few good chuckles out of me (unlike in SP when they tried to be funny and failed) and I liked the part with teen Simba. I also thought some of the interactions between Timon and Pumbaa were very sweet.

As a whole, though, this film felt very unnecessary. We already knew both Pumbaa and Timon's backstories, and already had a TV show about them to boot. I think if the film had followed Timon and Pumbaa's childhoods, and ended with them meeting, it might have been better, because I think the movie took a huge nosedive when it started following them through the story of the first Lion King. As posters above me have said, it took the epicness out of the first movie, and I agree. The animals only bowed because Pumbaa farted? Simba grew from an infant to a cub in one day? No, just no.

When I think of what the Lion King series could have done as far as a third movie goes, I think they could have either continued Kovu and Kiara's story or (and I feel this would have been the better option) tell the story of Mufasa and Taka/Scar when they were cubs. Not once at any point did I find myself saying, "Ya know, I really feel the need to know where Timon and Pumbaa were in the first movie." All in all, I don't hate 1 1/2, but I don't feel it was very good or necessary.

I really like this movie! I think it's very funny. Of course, it's nothing compared to the other two movies, but this is a nice little comedy. :) I like it. There are a couple scenes that bothered me a bit, but for the most part, this is a good movie.

Neither love nor hate. I don't think it's perfect, but I can't say that I'm disappointed, this is the first TLK movie I've ever watched :D It also made me watch first two films, a few years later.

Really, I love watching it sometimes, when I need to relax with something mainly funny. Am I the only one who actually likes Timon and Pumbaa here? OK, for sure not as much as lion characters. But this movie described many things. Mainly the history of "Hakuna Matata", which is my dad's favourite cartoon motto. It also described Simba's life during his self-exile from which we know why he spent so much time with Timon and Pumbaa. You must admit, first movie was pretty stingy with those information. It also learned me to look beyond of what I see in everything... Although I understood this metaphor better that Timon ;)

But there also appeared that Uncle Max which I (admit this.) can't stand... Too pessimistic. My opinion.

Really dislike it =/ The only think that was ok was seeing Simba as a teen, but the rest was an insult to the Lion King. I would of greatly preferred a sequal with Kiara and Kovu's cubs or a prequel with the cubhood of Scar and Mufasa.

I really hate it. I find it to be a huge insult to the original movie. What I hate the most about the movie are funny scenes taking place during scenes from the first movie that are really dramatic, the remakes of the songs are terrible, and there's way too many inconsistencies and plotholes.

One thing I have to give credit for is the scene with Simba as a teen. At least we got to see him that way before he became an adult.
Leaving. Might be back if the bill doesn't get passed.
