Who was the better king?

If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with Mufasa; things appeared more stable during his reign. That's not to say that it was necessarily, but I think that's what we were sorta led to believe. Not to say Simba was a bad king, of course, but Mufasa's reign seemed to appear smoother, I guess?

They say the student often surpases the tutour.. Not in this case. Mufasa was way better (or as YFWE said, it appeared so) and wiser and what not.

Both Mufasa and Simba have their good and bad qualities...but I believe that Mufasa is the better king of the lot.

While Simba has had to deal with a huge amount of unrest and issues during his reign as king, he has not handled many situations as well as he could have, particularly concerning Kovu and Kiara.
Mufasa just seems like a better ruler, really. It's such a shame the movies don't really give us much of an idea about how he rules.

To me, I believe Mufasa was the better King. He had the proper training, and he's just a lion that radiates power and control, he know's how to get things done fairly and properly
Simba, on the other hand, spend his cubhood in the jungle and was barely taught how to be King. And as a result, everything seemed more unstable during his reign, plus he had terrible judgement.
So, that's why I believe Mufasa was the better King
