I never thought of this as a movie for kids. Not as much as I always took this as a movie for people overall. Kids can view this and find things to enjoy, but teenagers and adults are more likely to get more out of this film. This is too deep and dark for at least the youngest children to understand and enjoy for this's full potential. And naturally this is way too dark and detailly put, for the youngest ones to even watch. Here in FInland/Europe, this is forbidden from kids under the age of 7.
