I had no special thought about it other that it was funny and wasn't /too/ far fetched since they're both in the mongoose family.

Honestly, I don't find this scene as funny as everyone says it is. It's good... but the part before it is so much funnier. Just Timon and Pumba's stoopid antics at their finest... but the proposal scene... jest never struck me as funny.

My favorite part is when he says Shenzi's full name: Shenzi Marie Predatorra Veldetta Jackalina Hyena and then keeps calling her Shenzi Marie.

Shenzi: I don't think so!
