If you could've writen one scene into the film...

A few suggestions I had in mind before I put some serious logical thought into it:

    1. "Shadowland" :
    • I PERSONALLY would have loved to have this scene included into the movie. The song is sooo powerful that it gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to. However, I have a few problems if they were included. First, Nala already tells us why she left the Pride Lands; she said, "I left to find help", and when we finally see the Pride Lands, we can see why she left.
    • My second reason is what DGFone stated. This movie is from Simba's point-of-view, and if we see more of the barren Pride Lands before Simba does, we lose the shocked reaction he is feeling that would make us feel the same way.
    • My final reason is that with the inclusion of "Shadowland", first-time viewers would already know the lioness is Nala when she attacks Pumbaa. IMO, I feel the filmmakers wanted viewers to be wondering who the lioness attacking Pumbaa is since the viewers may have forgotten about Nala at that point in the movie.

    2. More Timon and Pumbaa scenes - Sort of unnecessary. The audience already gets they are the "Shakespearean fools" meant to amuse us when the movie is leaning too dramatic for younger viewers. Adding a random scene with them that adds nothing to the story would ruin the movie.

    3. More cub Simba and Nala scenes - We can read the comics and other books to read more about their adventures. The movie had to touch on the more important aspects of Simba's childhood, and move on. The scenes with them as cubs in the movie establishes they are friends, and enjoy each other's company. What more could another scene with them add to the story?

    4. Scar's backstory - I have absolutely NO problem with this.

    5. "Endless Night" - I think adding "Endless Night" would have been nice, and bring out more character development from Simba. However, it would slow down the pacing of the movie, but would have been nice.

After thinking about this points, I think the movie is fine the way it is.

A scene at the end that explains the events in SP so I can stop speculating about it.

That's easy.

A scene after the credits shwoing Shenzi, Banzai and Ed survived the fire.

I seriously can't believe that DIDN''T happen.
