I would almost pity him if he wasn't King. It's funny how the irresponisible Lion with an attitude problem wins. He most definitely needs another whack from the Rafiki stick.

Maybe Simba rember his childhood, when he went to the Elephant Graveland and how Mufasa were Talking to him. It isn't very simple talk, realy? Kiara is a girl, not boy. She will be princess, the lion, who will be her boyfriend will be king (It is Kovu, but Simba don't know anything about that) and the kingdom will go to the new king. Maybe Simba want to talk with daughter for quet talk, no shout? (sorry for my bad English)

It's a good thought, I have to admit, though his talk seems to fail at having any sort of affect on Kiara other than making her depressed over the fact that she is being forced into a life where she must give up her personal identity for the good of the pride. Simba tries but fails utterly at helping her. Sorry.

Yep, you can see at the end of the song that she is more confused than ever, yet Simba does nothing to console her other than saying that she'll "understand someday". Pretty lousy parenting if you ask me xP

Wow, "As long as you live here, it's who you are." That really make Kiara feel better, thanks Simba. Now your daughter is deppressed and confused and you failed utterly to address any long term issues. Great parenting.

I SO agree to that. Simba is completly blind to how his daughter feels and thinks.. "You`ll understand someday." Uhm, wouldn`t it be better to explain the "we are one-"thing NOW instead of waiting until a war breaks out between Pridelanders and Outlanders? Arrgh, Simba is not very good at making Kiara feel better.
