Well....if he hadn't warned Simba that the outlanders were attacking then who knows what would have happened. Other than that yes he didn't have a big part in the movie. But also the reason he was in it was because he was the major domo, and we all know every king needs one of them. ^^ XD

GOPHER!!!! lol... he only says that the hyenas are in the pridelands... Muffy coulda got rid of them, even if Gopher hadn't told Zazu...

Yeah, but he wasn't a main character. ^^ lol jk he's extremely useless. XD
Here's a new one, I know it's not a character but really, the new song they put in the platinum edition. It was cool to add something, but the song didn't add anything for the experience or enjoyability.

If we focus on that then there isn't much else to say, Mufasa (not in the dream part) didn't do anything, and yes I know he couldn't cause he's dead but he could have done something in spirit/cloud form or talked to someone in their sleep.
I would say Zazu but he did warn Simba about the attack and find Kiara at the fire scene.
Rafiki was needed in the scence that if he hadn't 'told' Simba that Kovu had saved Kiara Kovu would have been kicked out, killed or something else. And because he got Kovu and Kiara together.
Actually Mufasa wasn't all that useless because he got Rafiki to get Kovu and Kiara together.
So as for now I don't see anyone as useless. ^^
