Well, I thought it was a bit weird when they mocked Mufasa's death, but I wasn't exactly offended.
The whole movie was a comedy. It's supposed to mock things.

Personally, I think there's no use in thinking too much about it. If you hate the characters and feel they shouldn't mock the movie, then obviously, the comedy isn't going to be a comedy for you >_> But I respect your opinions, and I can understand why some may be offended by this.

Well, there's no doubt that it kills a part of the first Lion King movie. Mufasa's death was one of the most sad and emotional scenes, and brought tears to many.

Seeing Timon and Pumbaa making fun of that, it's quite an odd feeling, like swallowing a pebble. I didn't expect them to mock that scene. I guess in a way, I didn't like that particular part too much.

But I thought the rest of the movie was okay. See it the first time, and many parts are funny. Not too funny when you watch it again though
