[quote="KopsTheTerminator"][quote="Amanda"]It goes faster because you've watched the movie so many times. You've pretty much memorized the script and always know what's going to happen next. You may even find that certain scenes don't shock or upset you like they used to. This happened to me when I watched TLK too much, and I found myself not so excited to see it anymore.

Not to say I don't love the movie, but watching the same 1.5 hours of film over and over again doesn't make it as enjoyable as when I saw it the first or second time. Basically, I can't enjoy the movie anymore because I know all the lines by heart so the words and powerful scenes have lost their meaning to me. Is this what's also happening to you?

^ This.

Yup. I watched TLK nearly every night for the entire months of October and November. Needless to say, I haven't watched it much since then. Time never seems to go by fast though, but that's probably due to my knowledge of the movie's length, and my inability to stop calculating things.

But if it does, that's because it isn't even a full 90 minutes long (89, to be exact). Simba ascends Priderock just 80 something minutes after his birth. That's why it seems to go by so quickly. Heck, a full-length 2 hour film could be made just from Simba's cubbiehood. Then add sequels to complete the story, ending in an ultimate deathmatch with Scar. TLK is just about one of the shortest epics ever. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is more than 6x longer, y'know.
And then we could go back twenty years later and make a prequel trilogy.

Yes, I know I could have included the entire Lion King trilogy, but since SP and 3/2 are so different, I didn't. The original film by itself is already more than enough to consider it an epic.
