Alternate scene of Simba's going back

I'm glad they went with the version they did, because this alternate version, doesn't suit Nala at all. (Unless Arani's theory turned out to be right). Overall I think the sceene that was used plays better.

I liked it. I loved the whole conversation between Simba and Nala. (I'm a sucker for romantic stuff.) And Timon.
"I don't understand? I don't understand? YOU don't understand!"

And the way he looked at Nala while she was sleeping at the beginning was so sad.
The patrotic music was beyond out of place.
I am also a big fan of: Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Days of Our Lives, musicals in general, Dr. Seuss in general and the Grinch.

I don't think I have ever seen this before. *Most likely because I don't have TLK 1 blu-ray/DVD yet.* Image But nevertheless, very interesting deleted scene.

I think the Simba X Nala thing and Pumbaa telling Timon about "responsibility" part, is a little too much. And this would at least explain one of the reasons why this scene never made it to the film.

As the far as the music score in this deleted scene goes, I think it fits in fine, for the most part.

Timon calling for his lion buddy because he left, was great! It definitely shows he does have a heart for those around him. 'Never gonna deny that. Image

That part where he says: "...My pal. My buddy! THAT IDIOT!!! *sobs*...", is Beyond "Timon LOL". Though, I think they kind of skipped over some right after he sobs. Timon just wouldn't be fine and dandy in 2 seconds. Image Nor was it necessarily comedic. But still good though.

Now That. Was hilarious.

I prefer how it went in the film. It was quite touching, with Simba looking over the sleeping Nala and such. Timon was a little too angry. Whoa! The music at the end was probably more to illustrate the situation as is done with animatics to fill out the space so people can get the idea of what is going on but not everything's fleshed out. I doubt it would have been added to the final film!

I thought it was quite touching. But I unsterstand why they didn't put this in the final film. There is no logic in Nala wanting Simba to stay in the Jungle since that would doom her pride which she wanted to save.

I have a lion king book that has the final scene in it, then the second half of this scene directly after it! So I was pretty familiar with this although I didn't know it was an original scene. :-o

I rather like this scene. It doesn't fit the movie without stretching Nala's character a bit, but...

Okay, back to business. Timon and Pumbaa's lines were pretty great too.

It was all good except for the campy US Army Camp music at the very end. Although I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that they made that alternate scene fit to the music that is played... when Simba discovers Mufasa's body. Make of that what you will.

I agree with this. That music at the end was horrible lol

I prefer the original but I did like the part where Simba looks over at the sleeping form of Nala. That was touching. But otherwise....yeh Timon annoys.
