Useless characters?

Well she was the first one of the outlanders to side with Kovu. If she didn't, the outlander lionesses may have just stuck with Zira

It indirectly gave Kovu his bad *** scar and made him run away from the outlanders

Yeah, that and the fact he was Scar's real son. I know he doesn't seem to add that much to the movie, even with what I'd previously said, but if you think about it him and Kovu are like Scar and Mufasa. Scar was jelous because he couldn't be king and would do anything to claim that title, Nuka was the same way in that he was jelous of Kovu only Nuka didn't kill his brother. in a way he added to the story from the begining, Nuka didn't care about Kovu and let him wander off so in-turn Kovu met Kiara and if those two haddn't met then who knows what would have happened, Zira wouldn't have planned him to get with Kiara as one example.

And how dare you say Vitani wasn't important!!!!

Hey Tanabi, how dare you not be present in the "Return of Evil (only 1 male made up character)"....!!! lol....

Muffy was pointless in TLK2.. and the hyenas were almost pointless in TLK.... almost... Scar probably could have done everything himself, and the lionesses wouldn't have hated him so much had he not brought the hyenas to the pridelands

I can agree that Muffy was sort of pointless in TLK2, but the Hyenas weren't. They actually have a big history with Scar, they were his childhood friends (I'm not making this up, it's in the 6 lion king books.) and if he haddn't had their help at the gorge and the wildabeasts then Mufasa might not have died, that and Simba said he wasn't going to kill Scar near the end of the movie so if the Hyenas weren't there to overhear Scar blaming them then they wouldn't have killed him, he wouldn't have died and then TLK2's plot would have been completely different, it wouldn't hav been about Zira's revenge in fact her and Scar could have left the pridelands all together and there might not have been a Kovu, Vitani, or Nuka in the 2nd movie.

So if you think about it they helped alot with the plot. ^^

Hmmmm well not really, if he hadn't warned Mufasa when the Hyenas were about to kill Simba and Nala then they might have suceded and killed them, Scar would have found a way to kill Mufasa and then Scar would forever reign as king in the pridelands forever.

I'd say so as far as Simba's Pride is concerned. All the other characters had at least some purpose it seemed.
