Why do you love The Lion King?

I love TLK. Ever since I was little, it was my favourite film. The animation was fantastic, and I must say better than most of Disneys films now. With computers to do everything for them, and Disney spewing out so many films so quickly, there is a lot less love put into movies in my opinion. Back in the day, with films like TLK and Bambi, everything was beautifully hand drawn and lovingly put together to create a masterpiece over years. Now Disney makes several movies a year, and they just aren't as good, no matter how realistic they make them. I mean, if Disney wants to make everything realistic, why don't they just make live action movies? I understand that several things cannot be done in real life, but the amount of realism going into these pieces is just... I don't know. I just doesn't feel like Disney. There's a new Winnie the Pooh movie coming out, I doubt hand drawn but it looks very original and I got a little emotional watching the trailer [lol]. I miss the 2D Disney, the true Disney masterpieces, to me, are the ones that time was spent on, developing the scenes, characters, music and the plot... Maybe I'm going on, and talking rubbish, but that's just what I think.

I completely agree with you ^ I consider myself lucky to have grown up in the 90's which I now realise was like, the golden era of animated films. They just don't make them like that anymore. It sucks.

Yeah, they are now making in 3D movies that completely sucks. Old animations are great. i like them more.

Second supporter! I also feel the same way and I'm lucky also that I was a little kid in the 90s as well, now that I'm 15. I had a much more important impact on my life when I was 7, which was TLK. I grew out of former obsession (Madagascar) that I got into when I was 9 and grew out of it when I was 12. I'm greatful that TLK came into my life and is so much better!!!

Elton John made great music to the film, I'm a fan of him and so It all began to the TLK fan.

Well, there would be, but it would suck without music.
