I agree with KiaraKovu, you've come on here and posted a little bit of your art, but the majority of what you've done here is pick holes in the movies. If it really bugs you that much, piss off and go to another forum about it. We're here because we like TLK lol, not because we wanna dissect in the most obnoxiously anal way possible.

and as kopa23 said, flame/trolling. It's very transparent, lol.
People here don't take very kindly to people speaking negatively about the movies. Agreeing with SF, I'd like to point out that this forum was not launched to criticize these epic films.
Okay, for one thing, these little flaws in the animation that you picked out, were only little mistakes. It's not like they impact SP. Take the first movie for example, Mufasa's eyes turned to white for a quick second when he was teaching Simba how to pounce. In the "Remember Who You Are" scene, Simba's eyes change from white to yellow. Then after they turn back to white. Disney only made these minor mistakes, I'm sure it happens in every other movie they make. As for Kiara's nose, she is Simba and Nala's daughter. Maybe Disney wanted her to have a little bit of her mother's nose, and a little bit of her father's. Like I said, they don't really have anything to do with the movie.

Kiara means "little one" and, "bright one" in Italian. Kiara does not mean "dark". If it did mean that, I don't think Kiara would even be in SP, therefore, no logic point in SP.

Kovu, is not a clone of Scar. He is an outlander. And the outlanders and pridelanders in TLK & SP have different shades of fur, obviously. Plus, Kovu and Scar don't have the same mane color. If you look closely, Scar has a black mane, and Kovu, a dark brown mane. If Kovu were a clone of Scar, I am sure Disney would of put at least a little more effort into Kovu's design, to make him look a bit more like Scar. Because in my eyes, Kovu looks nothing like Scar.

Now onto Simba. He was overprotective, because he loves Kiara. He is just like Mufasa. Maybe Simba learnt this from Mufasa's parenting. Like they say, "They treat their child that way, because that is how they were treated as a kid." Simba looks like Mufasa because that is what his designers wanted to do. If you look in the TLK Special Edition, disc two, and go to "Character Design" "Simba" they will specificly say "We wanted to have adult Simba, look like his father a little."

Last, but not least, Nala. Remember that SP takes place after Simba becomes king. Maybe Disney wanted Nala to age a little, to actually look old enough to have a daughter. Same goes for Simba.

Anyways... that is just my opinion.

wtf? this isn't trolling guys. trolling is just repeatedly flaming for no reason and usually the remarks have no credibility. this IS a forum for TLK discussions, who says all of them should be looked at as making the movies seem epicly perfect. this is hardly different from the many threads of "Disney FAIL" and etc. that we already have from other members, usually with problems in TLK2:SP. if you don't agree, state your opinion and back off. if you don't want to point out the flaws the movie has, then don't reply. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH ADMITTING THE FLAWS OF SOMETHING, EVEN IF YOU LIKE IT. IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU'RE A NEGATIVE PERSON, JUST THAT YOU'RE POINTING OUT PLACES WHERE THINGS COULD'VE BEEN BETTER. IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU DON'T LIKE THE MOVIE ANYWAYS. and besides, she mentioned clearly at the beginning of the thread that she thinks it is one of the better Disney sequels and a good movie despite. you guys need to learn how to tolerate things better, lol.

now, I disagree that Nuka looks like a Scar clone. his fur is an entirely different shade and color. it's dull gray-brown, not bright reddish brown. yes, he has that hooked nose and kinked nose bridge, but I believe that he takes after Zira (who's features were a little too Scar-like in my opinion). although, I do think they were inspired by a concept art of Scar when they were thinking about making him a rogue.

I also don't think Kiara's pelt is very bright, it's just hard to tell compared to other characters in TLK2 also having dulled colors rather than the usually brighter colors of the original team. but this I think might also be contributed to Sarafina and Sarabi have dulled pelts, so hereditary comes into play. what frustrates me is that they don't stay consistent enough with her facial structure in her cub shots. just look at the screengrabs of her in different scenes. it makes it seem like a rushed job where they really didn't care enough. as to the nose bridge, I just think that has to do with the particular angle. but her whole nose and muzzle isn't like either Simba or Nala really, it's almost identical to Sarafina's which is understandable and a nice touch. though most agree she would've looked better with either blue or green eyes. it would make sense due to Simba's side have a recessive eye color (since Scar and Ahadi have green eyes) as well as Nala's, increasing the chance of their cub having either blue or green eyes. it indeed looks nice with her pretty pelt.

now on to Simba and Nala's designs. NO, it's NOT to make them looked aged. keep in mind Disney said that Kiara's presentation is SUPPOSED to be the same one at the end of the movie. so Simba and Nala couldn't have aged years in a matter of minutes. plus, even if they had, it's not possible for Nala's chin to have changed to a completely different structure as well as size from young adulthood to a more mature adulthood. I think it was the style these particular animators used, but they REALLY shouldn't have messed with their designs. they were wonderful the way they were. and no, Disney shouldn't have tried to make Simba even more like Mufasa, they should've kept his unique aspects that are part of what makes a character. I also really hate how they screwed up their personalities. Nala was a much stronger character than just someone in the background who just smiles and lets Simba handle everything. and traumatic or not, Simba would have been over his father's death from years ago enough not to just go banishing half the pride. they went a bit ridiculous with his attitude, certainly not the Simba we knew, and didn't elaborate on the true reason (which certainly wasn't his father's death, which has nothing to do with this movie at all other than Simba trying to much to be like the "great" Mufasa).

and how many time have we all mentioned those pesky plotholes in TLK2? they left too many things out for certain things to make sense. I know there's a couple of books which add certain information, but since not everyone owns those books it should've been brought up in the movie.

as to Kovu's build, I think that's more or less because they made sure he was fed better and trained more, which would build up muscle, since he was their path to a new and better future. most of the Outlanders I believe are not lanky so much by hereditary as by poor diet in the Outlands. at the end of TLK2, afterall, the Outlanders seem fed up some at the pride-joining ceremony. Kovu's not that Scar-like either. his fur is a dull, ashy brown. the only similarity reallly is having a black, hooked nose.

and she's right, SM, Kiara DOES mean "dark one" or "black one" in a certain language, I'm thinking Irish Gaelic. it's the more common meaning for Kiara, as I didn't see the Italian version meaning "light" when I was looking up name meaning for all the characters.

Just because you're the first doesn't give you the right to keep picking on these films so much. At the very least, say a little congrats to Disney at the end of your post that regardless of these petty mistakes, TLK is still the greatest masterpiece of all time, because it is :). You know if you think TLK is so flawed maybe you should make a replacement and see how we attack and criticize every little thing. No movie can be perfect, since everyone has their opinions of how the sequel should have been. And your opinions apparently differ from everyone else's, so please stop complaining.

See it for what it really is guys. It's not hard to disguise trolling, the whole point of it is to get a negative response.

Oh, calm down everyone, there's nothing wrong with this thread. If he wants to point out flaws (or what he believes to be flaws), let him. It's not that big a deal. I don't see people crying foul at all of these "LOL OMG DISNEY FAILS" threads. Don't like it, just move on. It's easy.

I'd post more about my thoughts on Wereberess's comments but most have already been said for me, LOL.

I will say this in regards to the poll question, however: no, SP was not perfect. That being said, I don't consider ANY movie perfect. But SP was certainly far from perfection, at least especially compared to the original TLK.

it's not off-topic, it shouldn't be inflammatory, and is not extraneous. it's not provoking users to make emotional and angry responses, especially since she has asked people to stop just doing that. THIS IS A DISCUSSION OF TLK2, WHICH IS ONE OF THE POINTS OF THIS FORUM.

and I think many of you are being hypocritical of this. how many threads do we have for Disney/TLK fails? about a dozen? and how many times have we mentioned many of these points before in different locations? what's so wrong with making a thread for them all to go together? geez, either reply with something constructive or just ignore this  hurling accusations at someone isn't helping anyone.

*EDIT* just wanted to mention our most recent thread called "Big FAT thread of uber fail," now how is this any different than that? :annoyed: :tama: stop being drama llamas before everyone gets headaches :P

Firstly I said I WASN'T the first.

Secondly, if you agree no movie is perfect then why are you so upset about me pointing out WHY it isn't perfect? TLK was the masterpeice. TLK:SP is a different story. Some(not including myself) don't even consider SP cannon!
