Movie version! (because I was so moved by the scene that went with it)

I do love Elton John's version too -- very serene.

Elton John... though the American movie version is extremely close.

I like the movie version best, although the TLKoB version was also very good.

Broadway's version is the best in my opinion. I love how Simba and Nala switch between who carries the melody, and the orchestration in the middle is beautiful, and wasn't used hardly at all in the movie. The only thing I don't like is the awkward dancing during that section, but I don't have to worry about that listening to the soundtrack  .

yeah, I know what you mean about the dancing. I really didn't see the point of the 2 random background dancers...and the way they danced probably made some parents a little uncomfortable about their little toddlers watching...

but my favorite version of the song is the Elton John remix, cause it has a more African feel to it. and the music is more notable in the feel of the song.

My favorite version of Can you Feel The Love Tonight is and will always be the in-movie version. ^^ This is mainly due to the fact that it's the version I listened to the most, seeing as it's a part of the movie and not stuck at the very end like the Elton John version, which is amazing as well, but seeing as I have probably heard the in-movie version a million or so times, it probably will remain my favorite version forever. ^^ With this being said though, I do have a favorite non-lyrical version of CYFTLT, which I used in an AMV. lol. It's by Jack Jazzaro, (hope I spelled his last name right. lol), and it's just such a soothing version of the song. ^^ Kenny G's version is pretty awesome too though. ^^ I find it funny how there are SO many versions of CYFTLT and I think I've pretty much heard or have them all on my iPod, or at least on iTunes. lol. ^^

I have to list some other favorites I have :] I really encourage you to watch at least the first two (feel free to skip Tomon&Pumbaa's parts though >.>

This is the french version, in my opinion the best version out there <3 <3 Here's a translation for you non-frenchies (my own translation, not perfect lol)

Here's the vid <3

Love is shining under the stars
with a mysterious light
The entire world
in perfect harmony
lives a perfect moment

I want to say "I love you"
but how do I explain
my secret, my problems?
Impossible
It would cause her too much pain.

What heavy secret does he hide?
behind his great facade
I, at least, know he's the King in exile
who rules our hearts

Love is shining under the stars
with a mysterious light
The entire world
in perfect harmony
lives it's most lovely story

Love is shining under the stars
lighting up their hearts
It's light reveals at infinity
an ideal dream

I <love> the sound of the Cantonese lyrics :D It's so gentle and passionate. They took an interesting direction with the lyrics too.

German version is very gentle and melodic. Should surprise people who think German is all about yelling and harsh noises.

So those are my three favorite versions of can you feel the love tonight :)
