Scar's Alternative Name

Thats kinda cool how a word is spelled the same way in two different languages. Banzai is a substitute for "hurray" in Japanese or is a commonly used cheer or battle cry. So they mean the exact opposite lol.

I didn't know about Scar's original name until I joined TLKPF, where I learned quite a bit of things about TLK that I never knew before. I like both names, although Taka always makes me think of Scar being Asian. lol. That's not racist, since I'm Asian myself. hehe. ^^ Just saying is all. Scar is a more suited name for a villain though, so I think they made the right call by using Scar over Taka. ^^

I love the idea of how Scar changed when he received his scar; emotionally, mentally, and physically. It was an event that completely changed him.
I personally love the character "Taka."

I always read that Banzai was Swahili for "skulk" or "lurk." Which made sense to me.

I like the name Taka more than Scar.

Since they didn't mention what Scar's real name was in the movie, I think "Scar" is just sticking to him like glue. I could never imagine anyone calling him Taka. lol!

I like both names. Scar is a fitting name for a villain, but I think that Taka suited him too, when he was younger and - of course - didn't have his scar.
I think that Ahadi and Uru loved Taka just as much as they loved Mufasa, so I don't believe that they named him "garbage". Maybe they were thinking about the word "want" when they chose the name Taka. Taka must have been a bit difficult as a baby...
