When I first heard about it, I was like "SWEET! They're finally making a movie with Kopa!" Then when I saw it I was very disappointed that there wasn't Kopa. I said, "Aw, man! WHERE'S KOPA! DID YOU EAT HIM PUMBAA? BAD PUMBAA!!! BAD! BAD! BAD!" I lost my mind there for a second.

I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed. I would've liked to have seen a continuation of the story rather than, you know, more of a substory. That said, I did like the film. But at the onset of the announcement, I was a bit disappointed.

I will be honest but yes, I was dissapointed. As much as I love Pumbaa and Julie Kavner (who plays Marge Simpson and Ma), I really didn't like the fact that it was centered around Pumbaa and Timon. Timon for me, is especially annoying and to see them having some sort of consequences to their actions that make up the original film is just lazy and rather exsaperating. Whilst it doesn't take the magic away that makes the Lion King nor in fact Simba's Pride. I wish that disney had thought on a better prequel or sequel.

I'm not saying that I didn't like it outright, it's just one that I watch rarely. It has it's laughs and some beautiful scenes (such as their interactions with Simba and when Simba and Nala are nuzzling with butterflies flying around them) but that's all.

I actually hope that if Disney decides to make a prequel that they focus ''before the beginning'' of Mufasa's and Taka/Scar's childhood. There are some great possilbilites there to expand on the story line.

I agree with Deeri

I wish they made a prequel about Mufasa and Taka's childhood...i was kinda upset that they made it based on timon and pumba...I like Pumba but i think Timon is very annoying. I like the idea of having a meerkat in the series but they could have made him alittle more serious.

No offense to anyone who likes Timon :innocent:

When I first heard about the movie I was like: Greate they made a new Lion King Movie with Kiara and Kovus Cub.
But it wasn´t. :( So I got a little dissapointed, but just a little because after I saw it I thought that it was pretty funny. :)

Yes, that was another thought. A new generation (Kiara and Kovu ruling the Pridelands) or a prequel with Taka and Mufasa..and an explanation of the hatred that Scar portrays for Mufasa.
Perhaps Disney will decide to make the Prequel or an actual sequel to SP one day?

To be completely honest, I thought TLK 1.5 was a stupid movie; just a quick job Disney did for whatever reason, and I didn't think it was necessary for there to be another TLK. I think that the more sequels Disney makes of a movie, the stupider they get. I felt that TLK2, while still a nice movie, was a HUGE step down from TLK. I think they could just as well gone without any sequels at all. TLK1.5 seemed to be thrown together quickly, and a kind of half-*** effort that didn't really need to be made. One thing I really hate about sequels is that they exaggerate the character's personalities, quotes, and quirks from the original movie. In the original, they may be a joke made about an instance or in any case, relevant to the film. Rather than working on new material to provide a smooth transition and a continuation of a character, they are stuck in ever ridiculous references to the original movie. For example, in TLK2, aside of protecting Kiara, Simba is overly concerned with "becoming Mufasa." In the first film, Simba took his place, but his goal wasn't "be Mufasa." After learning that his death wasn't his fault, Simba is able to overcome the "obsession" with Mufasa's death and move on with life. In TLK2, he appears to be re-stuck in this rut.

To be honest, I was a little dissaponted that this movie this just focus on Timon and Pumbaa, not in the other characters
